Source: WikipediaTodd noted today that he tends to post less frequently when he’s doing the more interesting things.

It seems to me that the really great bloggers (and successful self-promoters) do the opposite of this interest to post inversion pattern. The more interesting things are in their lives, the more these people take the time to share their excitement and good fortune with others.

Wise words from the big man. Otherwise, you end up with posts like this one. Sadly, I don’t see my behavior changing any time soon, as I’m addicted to work and have more highly prioritized spending time with Jen and the kids, seeing shows, learning the bass, dieting and getting into shape. Might I suggest following my Twitter feed?

Lazyweb request: help a brotha with podcast viewing

I’ll leave for another post my fervent belief that Apple is now first and foremost “The iTunes Company”. I’ll settle for figuring out how to suck the pod- and videocast teat from several sources in my life.

I have an iPod that I sync to my Macbook. The Macbook is only on when I’m using it. I also have a Mac Mini in the loving room and AppleTVs in the bedroom and home theater. I want to download a podcast once and play it on any of the five devices. This doesn’t seem even remotely possible. What am I missing?

Send your follow-up emails before you go to sleep, no matter what

In Never Eat Alone, Keith Ferrazzi writes that you should send a follow-up email the same day you meet someone. Not within 24 hours… the same day. His reasons are varied, but mine is singular: if I don’t send the emails before I go to bed, it’s unlikely that I’ll ever get them done.

For example, Monday though Wednesday I emailed every person I met at GDC. Thursday I didn’t have the juice in my tank and didn’t follow up with anyone at the Alpha / Bessemer dinner. And I still haven’t.

Tap the energy reserves and get it done.
